The Changed -- Chapter Ten -- by Dee Caples

Image
When Pericles rescues a human female from nomads he risks the wrath of his fellow genetic mutants who have done their best to avoid mankind. Worse yet, Danna has tripped the trigger of Dancy, the sociopath mayor of Dirty Town, by stealing from him. In this steampunk tale of revenge, there will be a duel in the desert and only one faction will come out the winner.  Start at the beginning Previous Chapter On The Trail Degan hoped they didn’t find that bastard JoJo. Anyone who’d cut a chunk out of a hanging man and eat it in front of his eyes as he kicked and choked wasn’t right in the head. Something funny was going on because that freak wasn’t back from his mission. Mission. Ha! They ought to call him General Dancy, not mayor. Now Degan and his compadres were out here in the desert instead of bartering for a drink and a piece of ass. There’d be a few freebies for them when they found JoJo and the thought made him swallow in anticipation. Nothing was out here but grit in the teeth. At le

In this steampunk tale of revenge, there will be a duel in the desert and only one faction will come out the winner.  Start at the beginning  Previous Chapter Waiting For The Invasion The woman in question was watching Pericles put some Cat and Dog People through a war drill, mostly hand to hand training. A cat-man named Aces substituted as the enemy. Using a variety of techniques, he demonstrated how to break an arm, a neck, a leg, a back. He drew a rough outline of the human body on a wood wall with a piece of charcoal and then rings to show the best spots to put a knife in to cause maximum damage. “Let’s say I find a human about to attack Selisa over there. I come up behind him.” Aces took a stance in front of the Dog Woman and raised his

Dream Catcher by P.J. Blakey-Novis

Dream Catcher is the story of a man who tests out a new smart watch which records his dreams, leading to a bizarre and horrifying series of events.  It was brand new technology, an adaptation of those sports watches which monitor how well a person sleeps.  It was so completely new, in fact, that they were still in the trial phase.  Being keen on both fitness and gadgets, it was only to be expected that Paul had purchased each latest model of watch as they were released.  At the bottom of one email from his favourite brand, there was an invitation to take part in the beta-testing phase of the newest design. Paul had signed up to apply without a second thought, after all he was the ideal customer to test such a thing. The new model was being temporarily referred to as D2V by the manufacturers - Dreams to Visual.  From a fitness point of view, it had the same functions that his other watches had had; heart rate, step counter, sleep duration and, of course, time and date.  These could all

In this steampunk tale of revenge, there will be a duel in the desert and only one faction will come out the winner.  The Mayor Of Dirty Town Dancy flicked his hand to shoo away the young whore he’d just banged. It hadn’t been very good. She’d just laid there, her face to the wall the whole time. At least she hadn’t winced the way they did when JoJo wanted to get laid. He watched the girl’s narrow ass disappear into her dress. “Wash off before you go back down. No one likes sloppy seconds.” “Okay.” The girl left the room and he rose to get dressed. He cleaned with soap and water from the basin, his lips curling at the stench of overripe pussy and wondered if they had any douche left in storage. The bitch needed one. His boots clunked on th

Animalistic -- Chapter 3 -- by Chisto Healy

Chap One Chap Two  Lionel hung back when Sasha followed the giant, muscled man past the crowd into another room. She couldn’t understand why. He found her. They were together. Wouldn’t he want to keep her safe? Had she misread him? She didn’t misread what happened between them. She knew that much for sure. She could still taste him in her mouth. Thinking about it made a hunger rise in her that almost caused her to change forms right there. Sasha wasn’t aware that could happen and was startled by it, and more than a little embarrassed. The new room was a library, and a magnificent one. It was all lavish purples, the carpet and drapes. There was gold trim and she thought to herself that everything looked like silk, aside form the books of course, and boy where there books; she had never seen so many. Sasha loved reading. It was her salvation for a long time. When you don’t fit in with the other people in your community, even if they don’t know you’re different, you still feel like an o

The Fresno Kid -- by Jane Nightshade

Thirteen-year-old Sandy is stuck with taking spoiled, bratty David to the annual County Fair. David, of course, wants to see the sideshow attractions— the Alligator woman, the Two-Headed Man, and others. But a strange sideshow manager named Mr. Magicola wants to show Sandy and David another, SPECIAL sideshow...   The Fresno Kid an excerpt from the book The Drowning Game  by Jane Nightshade The Sutton County Fair arrived each year at the very end of June, with the Fourth of July hard on its heels. In mid-June, my little brother Todd and I sat on the front porch of our house and made plans for the glorious arrival of the Fair, and for all the fireworks we would buy for the Fourth. I was thirteen; it had been a year since the beginning of the previous summer, the terrible Summer of The Drowning Game. It wasn’t as hot this year as last, I told myself; there was no reason to find a pool. The rotating lawn sprinklers were good enough. In between making plans for the Fair and the Fourth, Tod
